Shot on location at Caulfield Racing Club. This shoot was for Melbourne Racing Club’s Style Guide, a guide on how to dress for the member’s area. My models were Brooke Meredith and David Hicks, a real-life couple and ambassadors for Ted Baker. Brooke is a model and David is normally behind the camera, as a fashion photographer! It’s always a little nerve-racking shooting one of your peers, especially someone with a lot more experience. Luckily, the photos got a nod from David as well as all others involved.
We were lucky to have a horse brought in for the shoot. It’s been a request of mine in the past and this time my request was granted. I had to be mindful not to tire the horse out too much and although I was informed that the horse was fine with flashes and reflectors, they were not used. The last thing I wanted was to spook that horse! My model, Brooke, was already a little apprehensive about working with the horse but she did amazingly well!
This shoot was done in the middle of winter, to have the images available for spring. Although it was cold, we were so lucky that there wasn’t any rain. The whole team worked wonderfully together and we produced some amazing images for the campaign.
